ACTIVITY

A. OPENING CEREMONY

The Opening Ceremony of 3RD INTERNATIONAL BANDUNG CHORAL FESTIVAL 2023 will have a special performance from the invited choir.

B. MEET THE JURY

This activity is an opportunity for all participants to get a direct evaluation delivered by the judges from the competition performances. Each participant will get 10 minutes and is allowed to send 5 choir representatives.

C. CHOIR CLINIC

This educational activity is open to the public. Participants will gain knowledge, skills and other choral techniques shared directly by international choral experts. Please get in touch with the Bandung Choral Society for registration. This activity is FREE for choirs who have paid all administrative fees up to the specified date.

D. CHORAL WORKSHOP

This educational activity is open to the public. Participants will get the opportunity to study theory and practice directly with choir experts who have an outstanding reputation on the international stage.

E. FRIENDSHIP CONCERT

This activity aims to build friendly relations between choirs. Participants will perform in special concerts designed so that participants can share information and interact with the audience. Registration is open while slots are still available.

F. SPECIAL CONCERT

Performers from the choir are invited or selected to share knowledge through special performances. This activity aims to provide a quality show for the participants and also the general public who are interested in coming and is expected to motivate the participants to become a choir that develops for the better.

G. STAGE REHEARSAL

This activity is devoted to participants knowing the acoustics of the room and finding the right standing position for sound quality when performing in the competition.

H. COMPETITION

Open to general choirs from all over Indonesia and internationally by following the provisions set by the Bandung Choral Society. The participant who wins the gold medal with the highest score will be announce as the “Winner of the Category”.

I. GRANDPRIX

Participants who can take part in this round are the choir that is the “Winner of the Category” and those who are recommended by the judges and the artistic director. Participants will compete again to get the title of “Grand Prix Winner of IBCF2023”.

J. SPECIAL JURY AWARD

The judges will give special awards to choir participants, conductors or musicians who can impress the judges with high artistic value.

K. AWARDING & CLOSING CEREMONY

The series of activities will end with the announcement of the winner and the closing ceremony.

L. NON-COMPETITION

This activity is specifically for choirs who want to perform at the 3rd International Bandung Choral Festival 2023 but don't want to compete. Participants can choose several activities to participate in, such as a friendship concert, participating in a competition in one of the categories. Participants will get comments from the jury and a certificate of participation and can join the Meet the Jury.

The entire activities for the 3rd INTERNATIONAL BANDUNG CHORAL FESTIVAL 2023 will be carried out in accordance with the health protocol and will actively cooperate with the local government's covid task force.
