All candidates must submit the following audition documents before the registration closing date.
Registration Form
- Fill the online registration form provided honestly and according to the circumstances
- For the photo, use latest postcard-sized photo (maximum file size: 5 MB), wearing a
plain white T-shirt or shirt, with a white background.
Video Audition
- Submit a YouTube link of your recorded video audition by following the
steps below:
- Pronounce clearly and slowly: your full name (as your identity), age,
and voice type (soprano, alto, tenor, or bass).
- Sing one solo piece in the form of an Aria, Lieder, or any Italian song
that demonstrates your maximum artistic ability. You may perform
with instrumental accompaniment or a cappella.
- One song of free choise. Allowed to use musical instrument
accompaniment or a capella.
- Demonstrate your vocal range by singing the vowel “A”.
- For Soprano and Tenor: start from the note C and sing the
major scale (do–re–mi–fa–sol–la–si–do) upward until you
reach the highest pitch you can comfortably produce.
- For Alto and Bass: start from the note C and sing the major
scale (do–re–mi–fa–sol–la–si–do) downward until you reach
the lowest pitch you can comfortably produce.
- After all videos are completely recorded, please title the video using the
following format: “IYC5_Full Name_Voice Type”. For example: IYC5_Lidia
Deeng_Alto.
- The video should be uploaded to www.youtube.com. After uploading the video,
please include the YouTube link in the registration form
- This link must be accessible only to the IYC5 2026 committe, and forbidden to
share to the public.
- Instructions for audition recording:
- Record your audition in a single MP4 video file to make it easier for the
committee to review.
- Before recording, study all the musical materials that will be performed.
- Find a quiet place to record your audition.
- Position the camera so that your face and upper body are clearly visible.
- Ensure the lighting is proper so that your facial expressions can be clearly
seen.
- You are allowed to use the music score while recording; memorization is
not required
- If using an instrument for base notes or accompaniment, make sure it can
be clearly heard in the recording.
