THE 4TH BCS - WORLD VIRTUAL CHOIR FESTIVAL 2021, Bandung - INDONESIA
Greetings
The COVID19 pandemic is still not over, the victims are increasing and in various countries the situation is getting
worse and more frightening. Despite the various efforts made by the Government to overcome this Pandemic,
and various Health Protocols strictly enforced in many activities, it is still not possible to create activities that
gather large numbers of people.
For Bandung Choral Society, the COVID19 Pandemic situation is very difficult. We cannot continue our mission
to promote the development of the Choir in Indonesia and the world. All Concerts, Educational Programs,
Festivals and Competitions are canceled. Singing activities "normally" still cannot be carried out. So many
financial and moral losses will have to be endured during this difficult time. But the mental and musical stress and
difficulties were even greater. The joy of singing, the joy of performing works and enjoying all experiences of
interaction with friends and all art activists are just a hope and a dream.
We are grateful to the technology's establishment, so even though singing activities "normally" cannot be
carried out after more than one year of the COVID19 pandemic swept the world, the Bandung Choral Society
can still hold seminars, workshops, competitions and festivals online - virtual. Even though the "taste" is not
exactly the same as the previous activity, at least it is useful to be one of the sources for channeling the
passion for activity in the art of singing. So that the Choir members continue to sing and the Conductors,
Trainers and Choir Teachers can still teach the Choir.
Now, Bandung Choral Society is holding the 4th WORLD VIRTUAL CHOIR FESTIVAL on September
3-8, 2021. At this Festival, apart from competitions, we still complete various seminars and workshops to
continue the choir education mission. In particular, we added the “Senior Choir” and “Senior Solo Singing”
Competitions to give the opportunity for senior citizens to be active and sing with joy.
We invite all of you to stay active and productive during this pandemic. Singing can bring happiness to all of us.
Hopefully, by continuing to sing, we will all be happy, excited and healthy.

A. REGISTRATION
Registration can only be done online by visiting the website https://bandungchoral.com/wvcf4, all kind of registration documents which send to the committee must be uploaded via the online registration form on the website. Registration begins when the program book is published and will close on 31 July 2021.
B. OPENING CEREMONY
4th BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival 2021 will hold on September 03, 2021, by introducing jury and participants then showcasing a special virtual choir video.
C. ONLINE WORKSHOP
This workshop is open to the participants and public. Provide compelling topics from the choral experts to develop the choir. Information for Registration can contact the Bandung Choral Society. All the participants of the 4th BCS-WVCF 2021 can only send 1 representative to join the workshop for FREE. For further information go to tab ONLINE WORKSHOP below.
D. VIRTUAL FRIENDSHIP CONCERT
Your choir can participate in this program by showcase your virtual choir. The representative of the choir will be inviting to attend the zoom meeting, and your can share the story behind the video making, the bittersweet of the process, and also the experience of your choir from the beginning until present day. Giving motivation about choral activity during this pandemic Covid-19.
E. COMPETITION
This activity is open to all participants from Indonesia and International, for beginners as well as those who are experienced. Participants who have registered will have the opportunity to show their performance through a well-packaged video.
This competition is specifically for participants who make a choir performance in the form of virtual videos, and are allowed to do any editing of the video and audio with creative and proper way.
This competition is specifically for solo singers who make a performance in the form of video clips and is allowed to add creativity in video and audio editing appropriately.
This category is provided for Choirs that are still new to making a Virtual Choir and have never participated in a Virtual Choir Competition. This category is not limited by age and type of music. The Bandung Choral Society Artistic Team will evaluate the submitted video, if the video meets the criteria for the other categories provided, it will be transferred to other available categories.
This category is for choirs who wish to participate by submitting the video "Live Performance". The videos can be recorded from concerts or performance in previous competitions over the last 2 years before the pandemic. Participants are allowed to submit videos that have just been recorded during this pandemic but must apply the Health Protocol.
F. MOST VIEWED VIDEO
This activity is an award for the participants of the 4th BCS-WVCF 2021 if they reach the most total viewers through the video uploaded on Tommyanto Kandisaputra's YouTube. Voting will begin when the video is uploaded and premiered and ends on the last day of the event.
G. MEET THE JURY
Participants will have the opportunity to meet with the judges. Discuss, get input, and consult something. All choirs and solos can send representatives of 2 participants to take part in this activity. The duration of Meet the jury is 5 minutes each. for registration you can click HERE.
H. SPECIAL JURY AWARD
Juries will give special award(s) with Certificate for solo singer, choir participants, conductor or accompanist who shows outstanding performance, if there is any.
I. AWARDING & CLOSING CEREMONY
The whole series of 4th BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival will end with the announcement of the winners and the closing ceremony which will be held on 8 September 2021.
