BCS World Virtual Choir Festival, Bandung - INDONESIA

The situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic lasted longer than expected. We do not know when this situation will end. Until now, everyone is encouraged to stay at home. Schools, malls, and public places are still closed. This situation causes us not to meet, and for the choir can not "sing" and practice, let alone perform or compete. The only way to sing together is to form a virtual choir that unites the singers in one appearance frame even if they sing in different places. Of course, the virtual choir cannot replace ordinary choirs because it is challenging to feel togetherness, harmony, homogeneity, and expression. However, in today's conditions, the virtual choir provides an excellent "solution."

To maintain the choir activities in Indonesia or the world, Bandung Choral Society initiated a virtual choir competition. Many choirs who have practiced and prepared themselves to participate in various competitions in various places cannot continue their participation because all competitions canceled. This virtual competition expected to replace the actual competition and provide an opportunity for the choir to keep singing and gain the spirit of competition.

We invite choirs throughout Indonesia and the world to participate in the BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival 2020.

A. REGISTRATION
- Phase 1: until June 10, 2020
- Phase 2: June 11 – 20, 2020
- Phase 3: June 21 – 30, 2020
- Phase 4: June, 31 – July 10, 2020
B. OPENING CEREMONY
BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival 2020 will hold on July 27, 2020, by presenting a virtual choir "singing together better" and several other exciting performances.
C. WORKSHOP
This workshop is open to the public. Provide compelling topics from the choral experts to develop the choir. This workshop will hold online. For registration please click HERE.
D. FRIENDSHIP CONCERT
The choir can join this program by displaying a virtual video choir
E. MEET THE JURY
Each choir can send a maximum of 5 representatives to consult and get a 10-minute direct review from each of the experts chosen online. (Application used will be informed later)
F. AWARDING & CLOSING CEREMONY
Announcement of Winners and Closing of the BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival 2020 event will hold on July 31, 2020.

TIMELINE
1. BCS-WVCF 2020 REGISTRATION is open until July 10, 2020
2. SUBMISSION of the video until July 20, 2020
3. PUBLISHING videos on Tommyanto Kandisaputra YouTube Channel will hold on July 28, 2020
4. AWARDING & CLOSING will hold on July 30, 2020

Regulation
1. The choir must register to participate in the BCS - World Virtual Choir Festival 2020, by filling out the form and paying the registration fee per video.
2. The choir may submit more than one video and follow more than one category.
3. Each participant must submit a video to the committee no later than July 20, 2020, through the website www.bandungchoral.com
4. Participant videos will be uploaded by the committee on YouTube Channel Tommyanto Kandisaputra on July 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM (GMT +7)
5. The jury will give an assessment based on the final results of the participant's video.
6. The program songs must refer to the description in the table of category. Participants are fully responsible for the permission and copyright of the song.
7. Participants are required to send a soft copy of the score as well as permission to use songs/proof of purchase through the submission form in https//:www.bandungchoral.com/wvcf for judging purposes, until July 13, 2020
8. The participant can sing in acapella or with accompaniment and must bring up the face of the entire performers.
9. If there is a violation of the above provisions, Participants will be "disqualified."
EDITING
1. The Virtual Choir Video included in the BCS-World Virtual Choir Festival 2020 has never included in other competitions.
2. It is permissible to add sufficient aspects of creativity in visual editing.
3. Please do not fill subtitles, trailers, watermarks, or narration in the video.
